How to Deposit Funds

To deposit funds into your SkillGround account, simply click on "Deposit" (or "My Account", and select "Deposit Funds" from the left menu), select your payment method, and then click "Continue". You will be taken to the payment specific page.

For instructions on specific payment methods, click on the desired payment method below:

Deposit via Credit Card

Select this option if you would like to deposit funds from your MasterCard or VISA credit card. You may use more than one credit card if you wish.

To deposit funds via Credit Card:

  1. Select "Deposit" (or "My Account" > "Deposit Funds")
  2. Select "Credit Card" as your payment method and click "Continue"
  3. Enter the amount you wish to deposit. Please note that the minimum deposit is $20 USD
  4. Enter your credit card information. If you have previously deposited funds from your credit card, you will also have the option of using a previously used card
  5. After submitting your information, you will be asked to confirm your request
Once your transaction is authorized and successful, your funds will be available for use immediately.

After entering your card type, card number, and expiry date, you will find that you are also required to enter your Card Security Code (CSC), also referred to as the Card Verification Number (CVN). If you are having difficulty finding this code, read the instructions under "Where can I find it?" below.

Deposit via Debit Card

Select this option if you would like to deposit funds from your debit card. SkillGround currently accepts only Solo and Switch debit cards (European issued cards).

To deposit funds via Debit Card:
  1. Select "Deposit" (or "My Account" > "Deposit Funds")
  2. Select "Debit Card" as your payment method and click "Continue"
  3. Enter the amount you wish to deposit. Please note that the minimum deposit is $20 USD
  4. Enter your debit card information. If you have previously deposited funds from your debit card, you will also have the option of using a previously used card
  5. After submitting your information, you will be asked to confirm your request

Where can I find it?

Your 3-digit security code can be found on the back of your card, inside the signature area. Typically, the signature panel will display your card number along with 3 additional digits. These last 3 digits make up the security code you must enter. Please note that we DO NOT store any records of your card’s security code in our system.

Deposit via PayPal


PayPal is a popular online money transfer service used by millions of people to securely pay for products and services. If you currently have a PayPal account, you may deposit using this option immediately. Otherwise, you must first create a PayPal account by visiting www.paypal.com or select the “Credit Card via PayPal” option, where a PayPal account is not required.

To deposit funds via PayPal:

  1. Select "Deposit" (or "My Account" > "Deposit Funds")
  2. Select "PayPal" as your payment method and click "Continue"
  3. Enter the amount you wish to deposit. Please note that the minimum deposit is $20 USD
  4. Read the notice and click "Proceed" to be redirected to PayPal to complete your transaction
Once on the PayPal site, you will need to log into your PayPal account to authorize the transaction. If your transaction is successful, you will be redirected to SkillGround and receive a confirmation notice. Your funds will be available for use immediately. Please note that if you have selected eCheck as a payment option on the PayPal site, your funds will take 4-6 business days to clear. Until your funds are cleared, you will not be able to withdraw funds from your SkillGround Account.

Deposit using Credit Card via PayPal

You do not need a PayPal account in order to deposit funds using credit card services offered via PayPal. Your credit card information will only be provided to PayPal.

  1. Select "Deposit" (or "My Account" > "Deposit Funds")
  2. Select "Credit Card via PayPal" as your payment method and click "Continue"
  3. Enter the amount you wish to deposit. Please note that the minimum deposit is $20 USD
  4. Read the notice and click "Proceed" to be redirected to PayPal to complete your transaction
Please Note:  SkillGround limits the amount you can deposit in a single transaction.  This is for your protection in the case of account fraud. In addition, there is also a limit on the amount of funds you can deposit during each calendar month. These restrictions apply to Credit Card, Debit Card, and PayPal deposits (limits vary between payment methods). Deposit limits are updated after every transaction, and are displayed beside the “Amount to deposit” field of the deposit page).

Deposit via Check

Select this option if you would like to deposit funds by mailing in a check.

To deposit funds via Check:

  1. Select "Deposit" (or "My Account" > "Deposit Funds")
  2. Select "Check" as your payment method and click "Continue"
  3. Follow the instructions provided on the page (supplementary instructions are also provided below)

IMPORTANT: You must include your SkillGround Account number on the front and back of the check for reference so that we know which account to credit when we receive it.  Your SkillGround Account number is shown on the check deposit request screen.

Include the following information on your check:

If your checking account is not in US currency, write "Amount in USD" on your check. The amount of the check will be converted into USD using the rate provided to us on a daily basis. The exact rate amount will only be known at the time the check is processed.

Once the check is received by SkillGround, the funds will be deposited into your account within one business day.

Note: While funds are available for use once the check is received, you may not transfer or withdraw funds generated by a check deposit for a period of up to 30 days after the funds appear on your SkillGround statement or until the check is cleared by both banks. You may wish to use a certified check or money order to bypass this waiting period.

Deposit via Wire Transfer

Select this option if you would like to deposit funds via a Wire Transfer.

To deposit funds via Wire Transfer:

  1. Select "Deposit" (or "My Account" > "Deposit Funds")
  2. Select "Wire Transfer" as your payment method and click "Continue"
  3. Follow the instructions provided on the page (supplementary instructions are also provided below)

SkillGround’s Deposit Protection Guarantee

Security is one of the core principles upon which the SkillGround site was designed, and we have instituted numerous measures to ensure that player accounts are always kept secure.  As such SkillGround guarantees that every transaction you make at SkillGround.com will be 100% safe. 

SkillGround protects the personal information that you submit through the use of a VeriSign digital certificate.  This certificate validates our server's identity, and allows for the establishment of a secured tunnel using the SSL (or Secure Socket Layer) protocol.  SSL communications ensure that your information is secured from eavesdropping, tampering and forgery.  To confirm that our VeriSign digital certificate is valid and that our SSL connection is working, you can click on the “VeriSign Secured” logo on the pages where you enter personal information.  This will launch a pop-up window from an SSL protected VeriSign server. The pop-up window will confirm that the displayed information relating to our SSL Certificate has been verified by VeriSign.  For more information about VeriSign Secured seals, and how to validate them, click here.

Our Guarantee:  Most credit card companies cover all the charges that result from unauthorized use or limit your liability to $50.  In the remote event that your credit card company holds you liable, we will cover your liability (up to $50) if the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own from deposits made through our secure server.  This guarantee applies only:

•               to credit card deposits made using our secure server;
•               to a maximum liability of $50; and
•               if you have notified your credit card issuer of the fraudulent use in accordance with the reporting rules in your cardholder agreement.

How to Withdraw Funds

In order to withdraw funds from your SkillGround Account, simply click on "My Account" and select "Withdraw Funds" from the left menu. In the Withdraw Funds page, you must select the amount you wish to withdraw and click "Proceed" to submit your request. For more information regarding SkillGround’s withdrawal process, please read the next section below.

Be advised that there is a minimum withdrawal amount of $20 USD. If your account balance is less than $20 USD, you will be allowed to withdraw your remaining funds.

Withdrawal Process

Users may request a withdrawal of funds from their available Premium Account balance at any time. Account holders with pending deposits must wait until those funds clear before requesting a withdrawal. Withdrawing privileges will also be revoked for security purposes when account fraud is suspected.

The minimum withdrawal is $20 USD or the player’s entire balance (if less than $20 USD). All withdrawals are subject to a withdrawal fee, except for those made by players whose balance is less than $3 USD. A withdrawal fee (“Withdrawal Fee”) of $1.25 USD applies to U.S. residents, and $1.75 USD applies to all residents outside the U.S.

When you request a withdrawal of funds, SkillGround will process the request based on how you’ve deposited funds into your account in the past. If you have previously deposited via Credit Card or Debit Card, your card(s) will be refunded in the amount of and order by which previous charges have been made on those cards; any balance that exceeds your previous card deposits will be returned to you via check, unless you have previously deposited using a PayPal account, in which case the remaining funds will be sent via PayPal. For example, if you made a deposit from Visa card #1 in the amount of $30 to set up your account, and later made another deposit of $25 from Visa card #2, you have charged a total of $55 to your Visa cards.  If you have grown your balance by winning and want to cash out $65, the Company will refund $30 to Visa card #1, then $25 to Visa card #2, and send $10 to you via check or PayPal, less the Withdrawal Fee.

Most withdrawal requests through Credit Card, Debit Card, or PayPal should be in your account within 5 business days. If you do not receive your withdrawal within 5 business days, please contact customer support at customercare@skillground.com.

Checks will be mailed within 10 business days. Users may also go to their Transaction History on the SkillGround site to see the status of checks pending. All checks will be mailed to the current address reflected on the user’s Premium Account.  If a check is returned to SkillGround (due to an incorrect address or any other reason) the user’s account will be suspended.

The withdrawal process is designed to minimize customer fees and add an additional element of security to protect SkillGround’s customers. In the ongoing pursuit of abolishing fraudulent behavior and account hijacking, the Company reserves the right to require the Premium Account user or credit card company (if applicable) to submit verification of identification to ascertain the validity of a withdrawal request and the identity of the User. Withdrawal payments will not be made until such verification is received; if the Company has not received verification within 10 days, the withdrawal request will be canceled and the account in question will be suspended.

Your winnings are awarded to you in their entirety, and all federal, state, and local taxes due in connection with any winnings awarded to you are your sole liability.

Canceling Withdrawals:

You can view all your pending withdrawals by clicking the "My Account" button located at the top on the SkillGround main page and then clicking the ‘Cancel Pending Withdrawal’ link in the left menu. It is also viewable in the “Personal Information” section of “My Account”.

You can only cancel pending withdrawal requests based on how you've withdrawn funds from your account in the past. If you have two pending withdrawal requests, you can only cancel the most recent request first. Once the first withdrawal request has been canceled you are free to continue canceling the next pending withdrawal. When a withdrawal is split into multiple withdrawal requests you will only able to cancel the withdrawals in the order opposite to the one in which they were issued by the system. The withdrawal fee will only be reversed once the user has canceled the entire linked withdrawal request.

Transaction History:

All of your past transactions will be shown in this section. Transactions include entry fees paid, match winnings, Game Credits awarded, deposits and withdrawals requested, and all financial adjustments made to your account. If you have any question regarding a transaction, please mark down the REF No. (Reference Number) before contacting Customer Care.
