How to Install SkillGround Games
During registration, SkillGround Game Manager will automatically launch and install your selected game. If you are already a player, you can download and install any of our other games at any time from the game page. You can get to the game page by selecting the game from the Home page. You can also download games from "My Profile", located in the "My Account" section.
Important: You must have Power User or Administrator privileges on your computer in order to install the SkillGround games
Game Updates
Game updates are handled automatically. SkillGround Game Manager will launch and install patches, updates, and additional security content, whenever necessary, while players are choosing games in the game lobbies. It will also verify the status and integrity of the each game before every match to ensure that all players are using the same up-to-date versions, thereby guaranteeing a level playing field.
How to Set Player Preferences
To view your current preferences for each game, go to “My Profile” in the “My Account” section. You can also view game specific preferences by entering the game lobby of the game you wish to play, where a panel on the right side will display all such information.
To help other players understand your match preferences, you should enter the following:
- The range of entry fees you are comfortable with
- Game options (Choose a Race, Class, Car, Fighter, etc…)
- Match preference – enter informative information such as favorite map or advanced option you prefer to play with.
Once you have made changes, make sure to click on the 'Save Preferences' button for changes to take effect. If you have changed preferences for more than one game, you will have to save each of them individually.
System Requirements
To play on the SkillGround site, your computer must meet the following requirements:
- Internet Explorer (6.0 or above) or Firefox (1.5 or above)
- A broadband Internet connection (High-Speed Cable or DSL is recommended with at least 128kb/sec constant connection)
- Pentium 4 or Athlon equivalent (2 + GHz recommended)
- NOTE: WarPath and Kung Fu: Pentium 3 1 GHz or Athlon equivalent (2 + GHz recommended)
- Windows Vista, XP or 2000
- 256 MB RAM (512 MB or more recommended)
- 2 GB of free hard drive space (4 GB recommended)
- 100% DirectX 9.0 compatible 3-D graphics card with 128 MB video RAM
- DirectX 9.0 compatible sound card
- Updated first party drivers for your video and sound card
- A keyboard, mouse, and monitor (monitor must support 1024 X 768 resolution, and 16-bit color)
