Tell-A-Friend / Invite Your Friends FAQs

“Referring Friend” is the person telling a friend.
“Invited Friend” is the person being told about SkillGround.com.

Who is eligible for the Tell-A-Friend Program?
The Invited Friend must be new to SkillGround.com and must not already have an account at SkillGround.com under any other name or alias. Players are only permitted to have one (1) account at SkillGround.com.

How do I receive my game credits for inviting a friend?
To receive $10 in SkillGround Game Credits for inviting a friend, you must be a registered Premium Account / Player's Club Account member. Basic members will receive a "Pending" $10 game credit deposit, this deposit can only be claimed once the account is upgraded to Premium Account / Player's Club Account member.

How does my friend receive his/her Game Credits?
The Invited Friend must create a Premium / Player’s Club Account and then make a deposit in order to receive the $10 in SkillGround Game Credits. The Invited Friend must click on a link within the invitation email to create their Premium Account / Player’s Club Account, or register with the email address that you sent the invitation to, otherwise the referral cannot be tracked and game credits cannot be awarded.

My Friend Signed up for a SkillGround Account, but I Didn’t Get My Referral Bonus.  Why?
There could be several reasons for this.  First, your friend may not yet have made a deposit to upgrade from a Basic Account to a Premium / Player’s Club Account.  Referring Friends (and Invited Friends) do not get a bonus under this program until the Invited Friend has successfully made a deposit.
Your friend may also have been a pre-existing SkillGround customer when you sent them the invitation.  This bonus is only available for new players who create accounts at SkillGround.
Your friend may also have created a SkillGround account using a different email address than the one to which you sent the invitation.  SkillGround can only track players if they either click on the link in the message sent to them through the Invite Your Friends / Tell-A-Friend form or if they sign up with the same email address to which you sent the initial invitation.
Your friend may also have created their SkillGround account more than 30 days after you sent them the invitation – in order to receive credit for your friend joining, they must sign up for an account within 30 days of you sending them the invite.
Finally, someone else may have also invited the same person to join SkillGround and received Game Credits for inviting them,  SkillGround will only give one Referring Friend credit for new Invited Friends.  In cases where an Invited Friend has not yet created an account, but has received more than one invitation, if the Invited Friend creates an account by clicking on the link in an invitation, SkillGround will give credit to the Referring Friend who sent that invitation.  If an Invited Friend does not click on the link in the invitation, but instead opens an account with the same email address as used in sending out an invitation, SkillGround will give credit to the Referring Friend who sent out the most recent invitation to that email address,
